Continuing its tradition of producing innovative products, PR has released ConfigMate 4590, a flexible configuration tool.

Many of our customers love to use our 4000 and 9000 series devices because of the Programmable Display 4501 and the easy nature of being able to configure a device in the field, without having to carry around a PC.

However, breaking this link of being reliant on a PC to program also meant that there was no way to archive and restore configurations, a feature increasingly in demand for maintenance, quality control and even regulatory purposes. So we have listened to our customers and incorporated this feature into our new ConfigMate 4590.

This unique tool can be used in Docking Mode to back up and restore configurations stored on the Programmable Display 4501, of our 3114 and selected 4000/9000 devices to the PC, with the aid of PReset software. But the story does not end there!

ConfigMate 4590 can also be used in Adaptor Mode to bring that much loved 4000/9000 series feature, of configuring a device in the field without having to carry around a PC, to our new market leading slim-line 6mm 3000 device series. With the aid of the Programmable Display 4501, the battery-powered ConfigMate 4590 can be used as a hand held programming tool or can display the desired Process Variable of our 3114 device. No need to run back and forth to the control room to check if a device has been programmed correctly!
